Child Daycare in Calgary for Busy, Working Families
Finding child daycare in Calgary that fits a real working schedule is one of the biggest decisions a parent makes. Play Play Play Calgary was built around that reality. From two Calgary locations, we look after children before school, after school and during the parts of the day when they are not in class, so parents can get to work knowing their child is safe, fed and enjoying their day.
Whether you are looking for kindergarten care, before and after school care in Calgary, a summer camp for July and August, or occasional drop-in care, this page explains what we offer, how the day works and how to secure a space for your child.
Child daycare programs at Play Play Play Calgary
Our programs cover the whole school year and the holidays in between:
- Kindergarten care (AM and PM). An enhanced program for children who attend kindergarten for half the day. We care for them during the other half, with healthy snacks and transportation to and from school.
- Before and after school care. Supervised care from as early as 6:30 AM and until 6:00 PM, with breakfast options in the morning and a healthy snack after school.
- Summer camp. A July and August program full of field trips and activities such as swimming, bowling, golf and park days.
- AM care, PM care and drop-in care. Flexible options for families whose schedules do not fit a standard program.
- Birthday party bookings. On weekends, families can rent our play area for a celebration.
Every program encourages independence and positive decision-making. Children enjoy free play as well as structured activities and games, and, weather permitting, we take them outdoors as often as we can. We also respect the diversity of the families and cultures in our Calgary community.
Two convenient Calgary daycare locations
Play Play Play operates from two locations. Midnapore Daycare serves families in south-east Calgary at 15426 Bannister Rd SE. Varsity Kindergarten and Before & After School Care serves north-west Calgary at 134-5403 Crochild Trail NW. Both are open Monday to Friday from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM, and you can find phone numbers and email addresses on our contact page.
School transportation from our Calgary daycare
Getting children between school and daycare is often the hardest part of a working day. That is why we offer bus service to and from several Calgary schools, including Ecole Banff Trail, Marion Carson, Varsity Acres, St. Luke School and Brentwood TLC School. If your child attends one of these schools, ask us about transportation when you enquire about a space.
What a day of child care looks like
Mornings start with a calm drop-off, breakfast options for school-age children and time to settle in before the school day. After school, children have a snack, take a break and choose between quiet activities, games and active play. Our team works with families so that each child's routine, interests and needs are respected. Parents tell us that predictable routines help children feel secure, which is exactly what we aim for.
